Innovation Born From the Dental Laboratory
The SegScrew™ was created from real-world experience in digital dentistry, dental technology, and full-arch rehabilitation. Rather than simply modifying a conventional prosthetic screw, the goal was to rethink how the screw could better support today's direct-to-MUA and digitally manufactured restorations.
Meet the Inventor
Jeffry Tobon, CDT, inventor of The SegScrew™, has spent his career working at the intersection of dental technology, CAD/CAM, laboratory manufacturing, and full-arch implant dentistry. His experience spans early digital dental systems through today's advanced Exocad, scanning, milling, and full-arch workflows. (SegMark Workflow)
Working directly with clinicians, technicians, and full-arch cases exposed recurring challenges with traditional prosthetic screws—from screw-channel positioning and milling limitations to retention, strength, and the additional components required for direct-to-MUA restorations.
The SegScrew™ was developed to address those challenges.
Designed Differently
Every aspect of SegScrew™ was developed with the complete prosthetic workflow in mind.
The system incorporates up to 30° of screw-channel angulation, anti-rotational grooves beneath the head, a reinforced neck, TorX6-compatible engagement, and a 2.4 mm head geometry designed to facilitate milling with a 2 mm bur. Digital libraries and milling strategies further integrate the system into modern CAD/CAM workflows. (SegMark Workflow)
The result is more than a prosthetic screw. It is a component engineered around the way modern full-arch restorations are designed, manufactured, delivered, and maintained.
Built for the Digital Workflow
SegScrew™ was developed to integrate naturally into today's laboratory environment. Digital libraries, scan-body compatibility, and dedicated milling strategies help laboratories incorporate the system into existing workflows without completely changing the way they design and manufacture restorations.
From scanning and CAD design to CAM, milling, and final delivery, our goal is to make the technology practical—not complicated.
Support Beyond the Screw
Our relationship with customers doesn't end when a SegScrew™ is purchased. We support clinicians and laboratories throughout implementation with access to:
- Digital Libraries — Resources for incorporating SegScrew™ into supported CAD workflows.
- Milling Strategies — CAM resources designed to improve consistency and simplify manufacturing.
- Workflow Support — Assistance integrating SegScrew™ into existing full-arch protocols.
- Technical Support — Help with drivers, scan bodies, libraries, milling, and product compatibility.
- Training & Education — Resources designed to help teams understand both the product and the workflow behind it.
- Distribution Partnerships — Opportunities for qualified dental distributors and industry partners interested in bringing SegScrew™ technology to their customers.
Created by a Technician. Built for Clinicians.
The SegScrew™ approaches prosthetic design from a technician's perspective while addressing the needs of the doctor, restorative team, and laboratory.
Because a better full-arch workflow isn't created by improving only one step.
It's created by understanding every step.
The SegScrew™
Engineered for Prosthetic Confidence.
